- Before you begin, be sure to turn off your laptop and unplug it from the outlet.
- Remove the ten 7.5mm Phillips #00 screws from the bottom of the laptop.
- Use an opening tool to remove the bottom half of the case from the laptop.

Battery
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws holding the battery in place.

- Pull the plastic tab on the battery cable to disconnect the cable from the battery.

- Remove the battery from the laptop.
Remove the battery from the laptop.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
For optimal performance, after completing this guide, calibrate your newly installed battery.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.

can you recommend a battery model #? I want to be certain I buy the correct one.

The first step needs to be amended. There are 10 back cover screws including the central one, not 9. Additionally, the battery cable removes outward from the battery, not upward.

I’m told that you should replace the connector cable that connects the battery to the motherboard whenever you replace the battery. However that cable doesn’t come with the kit. How do I get that part?

I found that I had to remove the back of the laptop from the touchpad side of laptop first, not the hinge side first as indicated in the pictures.
