Introduction
Upon installation of a new hard drive or a repaired hard drive, ensure to test the new hard drive by saving files to the desktop, documents, and the computer tabs.
Turn off the computer and disconnect any external power before operating on the components of the device.
What you need

Battery
- Using the Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove ten 4 mm screws from the back panel.
- Lift and remove the back panel.

- Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two 3 mm screws securing the battery to the laptop.

- Remove the battery up and out of the computer.

Hard Drive
- Unplug the hard drive cable from the motherboard.

- Using the Phillips #000 screwdriver, remove two 3mm screws from the hard drive frame.

- Lift the hard drive up and out of the computer.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
