              Sliding the Battery Lock               

• WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin.
• Turn the computer over.
• Slide the battery lock latch and the battery release latch to the unlock position.

              Pulling the Battery Up               

• Pull the battery up and out of the battery bay.

              Align the Slots               

• CAUTION: To avoid damage to the computer, use only the battery designed for this particular Dell computer. Do not use batteries designed for other Dell computers.
• Align the slots on the battery with the tabs in the battery bay.

              Push the Battery in Place               

• Push the battery in place till it snaps into place.
