Introduction
Before you start, power off your laptop completely and disconnect it from any external power sources.
What you need

- Close the computer and turn it over so that the bottom of the computer is facing up.

- Remove the nine 7.6mm PH0 screws on the back cover.

- Use a plastic opening tool to remove the cover from the back of the computer.

- Remove the three small 4.7mm PH0 screws that secure the battery.

- Move the hard drive cable away from the battery.
- You want to make enough clearance to remove the battery without it catching on the hard drive cable.

- Lift the battery up and toward yourself to remove it, revealing the back of the keyboard underneath.

Step 7
- Disconnect the cable for the power and volume buttons from the motherboard.
- You may need to use a spudger to remove the cable from the routing guides by the speaker.
