Introduction

If your battery is swollen, it may be punctured. This is dangerous, so follow these precautions.

Make sure the device is turned off before you begin.

The old battery is considered a rechargeable battery, so dispose of it properly at your local recycling facility.

What you need

  • Close the computer and turn it over, with the bottom of the computer facing up.

  • Remove the nine 7.6 mm PH0 screws on the cover.

  • Use a plastic opening tool to remove the cover from the computer.

  • Remove the three 4.7mm PH0 screws that secure the battery to the computer.

Step 5

  • Remove the hard drive cable from the battery.

  • Lift the battery from the computer.
  • Replace old battery with new one.
