What you need

Step 1

              Lower Case               
  • Loosen the eight retaining screws on the base of the computer with a small Phillips screwdriver.
  • The screws have retaining washers to hold them in place, so you don’t have to remove them from the base plate.
  • Remove the bottom cover from the laptop.

              Battery               
  • Caution: Ensure computer is completely powered down before attempting to remove the lower case of the computer.
  • Unscrew the two circled screws.

  • After removing the two screws, gently lift up the battery with the small plastic tab attached.

  • Caution: Do not attempt to fully remove the battery while the wire is still connected.
  • Lift the battery out of its casing while allowing the wire to remain attached.

Step 5

  • Behind the battery, locate the PD12 battery wire and gently unplug it.

  • With the wire unplugged, and all of the screws taken out, you are free to remove the battery for replacement.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order using a new battery in place of the old one.
