Removing the keyboard

- Remove the keyboard cable and other cables.

- To remove a cable lift up on the black tab. To reconnect stick the cable underneath the black tab and press down.

Removing the access panel
- Remove the 2 - M2.5 x 8mm screws.

Removing the optical Drive and base cover
- Remove the 1- M2 x 5mm screw. Use the slot under the battery to slide the optical drive out. Remove the DVD Optical Drive.
- Remove the screws from the back panel.
- Close the display and turn the computer over. Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer base. Using your fingertips, pry the base cover starting at the top edge out of the computer base. Lift the base cover off the computer base.
Remove the 1- M2 x 5mm screw. Use the slot under the battery to slide the optical drive out. Remove the DVD Optical Drive.
Remove the screws from the back panel.
Close the display and turn the computer over. Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer base. Using your fingertips, pry the base cover starting at the top edge out of the computer base. Lift the base cover off the computer base.

Removing the Wi Fy card
- Unhook the black and white wire from the MB shown in the lower circle. Remove the screw from the card shown in the upper circle.

Unplugging the speaker cable and unhooking the RAM
- Unhook the speaker cable from the MB.
- Ram slots are next to the speaker cable. If needed, take out the RAM by prying back the hindes on the RAM.

Removing the hinges
- Remove the 2 - M2.5 x 8mm hinge screws.Remove the 4 - M2.5 x 5mm screws under the battery. Remove the 6 - M2.5 x 8mm screws under the access door.

Removing the display
- Note the antenna cable routing and remove the cable from its routing guides. Lift the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.Turn the computer over. Open the display at an angle of 90 degrees.
- Place the computer on the edge of the table so that the palm-rest assembly is on the table and the display assembly extends past the table edge with the display hinges facing up. Remove the screws that secure the display hinges to the palm-rest assembly.

Removing the hard drive
- Remove the screws and detach the hard drive from the base. The hard drive will be in an enclosure and you will need to unscrew it from its enclosure.

- Remove three cables under neath the keyboard. Hard drive cable is on the left.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
