No espresso is coming out of the machine.
Check to see if there is ample water in the reservoir. See guide on replacing the reservoir.
Descale the machine as described in page 10 of the user’s manual.
Reservoir needs to be fully pushed down to release the valve
When running, the pump is making irregular, unexpected, loud noises.
Pull out the reservoir and re-position it. See guide on replacing the reservoir.
No indication of power to the machine.
Make sure the power cord is plugged into a working outlet.
Flip the “on/off” switch to the “on” position.
The froth is coming out quicker and thinner than expected.
Press a little harder, but not too much.
Add more ground coffee .
Remove any large chunks or grind the chunks to match the size of the rest of the ground coffee.
The froth is coming out slower and thicker than expected.
Press a little softer, but not too much.
Remove any excess amount of coffee.
Refer to the Cleaning the Boiler Outlet guide on page 10 of the user’s manual.
Refer to the Cleaning the Filter guide on pages 9 and 10 of the user’s manual.
Remove fine coffee and replace with coarser coffee.
Let coffee air-dry.
The coffee is not the ideal temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
Refer to the Preheating the Espresso Coffee Unit guide on page 8 of the user’s manual. Also, wait for the indicator light to turn on.
Make sure skim milk is used at refrigerator temperature.
Thoroughly clean the holes in the cappuccino frother as depicted in figure 21.
