Introduction

The hot plate is essential to the functioning of your coffeemaker. It not only heats up water in the machine before it is added to the coffee beans, but also keeps that water warm. A cracked hot plate can interfere with that process by no longer conducting heat, resulting in cold water and poor steeping for your beverages of choice.

Follow this guide to replace your cracked hot plate and be able to enjoy hot beverages once again.

What you need

Step 1

              Hot Plate               

• Unplug the device and flip it over so the bottom is facing upwards.
• Remove the four screws.
• Remove the bottom panel.

• Remove the two screws from the silver brace.

Remove the two screws from the silver brace.

Step 3

• Use a spudger to wedge the red tube off of the metal.
• Repeat this for the other side of the silver pipe deeper in the device.

Step 4

• Pick up the middle pipe and slide the hot plate out of its area.
• Apply new thermal paste to the hot plate.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
