Hot Plate
- Unplug the coffee maker.

- Remove the coffee pot and place the coffee maker upside down.

- Remove the five 1.6mm Phillips #1 screws from the bottom panel.

- Remove the bottom panel.

- Remove the two 1.6mm Phillips #0 screws from the retaining bracket on the heating element.

- Remove the retaining bracket and allow it to hang off of the heating element.

Step 7
- Remove the hot plate from the heating element.
- New thermal paste should be applied at time of installation.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

thank you for this informative display.
I have broken many expensive glass carafs for my cuisinart coffeemaker and finally purchased a cuisinart thermal caraf.
I do not need the hotplate to heat, so what do I do to stop the heating process?
I imagine I would need to remove one of the attached lines to the heating element, yes?

Hi, Thanks for sharing this information. I have an older Krups coffee maker that still works great but the hot plate is warn. I cannot seem to find a replacement plate for any Krups coffee maker models. Any suggestions? Thanks!
