The only tool required is a plastic opening tool or spudger.
What you need

Volume Knob
- Identify the volume knob.
- It is in the bottom-right corner of the turntable, just under the power light.

- Make sure that the power is off.
- Turn the volume knob counterclockwise as far as possible.
- Unplug the power cord.
- The power light should be off. If the light is glowing red, wait until the light goes out.

- Slip the plastic opening tool between the knob and the turntable.
- In place of an opening tool, a spudger will also work.

- Use the opening tool to pry open the knob.
- To prevent the knob from flying off, you can keep one hand lightly on top of the knob for security. There may be an audible click as the knob comes off.

- The knob should now be free to inspect, customize, or replace.

To put the knob back on, push the knob directly down onto its peg.
