- Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the brush caps on the outer casing of the saw near the motor.

- Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver or a small diameter nail, carefully pull out the washer.
- The washer is seurely held in place and may require force to remove

- After the washers are removed, gently grab the old brushes and remove them from the motor.
- When reassembling make sure the curvature of the brushes match curvature of the motor.
