Older computers may only have solder beads, not pins or dip switches when attempting to clear passwords on older computers. To jump this setup, place a flathead screwdriver so it connects the two solder beads. While continuing to hold the screwdriver, turn on the computer.
If done properly, it will jump the two beads and perform the proper action of the jumper. Once successful, turn off the computer and remove the screwdriver.
DO NOT remove the screwdriver while the computer is on the two beads. The pins must remained jumped while the computer is turned on.
