- Turn the laptop upside down.

- Remove the battery, RAM, and hard drive.

- Remove four 1.2mm Phillips #00 screws under the battery.

- Turn the laptop over, and open the laptop cover.
- Use a spudger or your hand to carefully remove the keyboard.

- Use a spudger or your hand to lift the outside frame from the corner of the laptop.

- Remove all the 1.2mm Phillips #00 screws from the motherboard and in the top corner that secures the fan.

- Unplug the wires connected to the motherboard with a spudger.

- Remove the two 3mm Phillips #00 screws beside the fan.

- Lift the motherboard out carefully.

- When the motherboard is removed, flip it over, and you will have a view just like in the picture.

- Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the three 2mm screws that connect the fan to the CPU.

- Remove the fan from the motherboard.
- When reassembling, you will need to solder the fan back on to the CPU.

- Use the metal spudger to twist the lock tab on the component.

- Remove current CPU and replace with new component.
