What you need

Step 1

              Slide battery latch               
  • Slide battery latch to left
  • Simultaneously lift battery

  • Lift and remove battery

              Unscrew keyboard               
  • Remove 3x M2.5x4mm

              Lift keyboard               
  • Lift the keyboard in the middle with a spudger
  • Remove 4 clips by bending keyboard in middle, do not force the clips at the sides
  • Do not remove the keyboard fully, it is attached via a ribbon cable

              Detach ribbon cable               
  • Lift keyboard slightly
  • Push each side of ribbon cable connector
  • Fully remove keyboard

              Remove screws               
  • Remove 2x Phillips M2.5x8mm screws from under the display
  • Remove 4x Phillips M2x2.8mm screws from the battery compartment

Step 7

              Disconnect ribbon cable               
  • Turn over the laptop
  • Use a spudger to lift the ribbon cable hinged clip
  • Pull the ribbon cable out of the connector

  • Lifting the bezel by the screen
  • Slide the bezel back towards the screen to release it from the clips

              Remove bezel               
  • Fully remove bezel

Step 10

              Disconnect left hand cables               
  • Disconnect the display cable
  • Disconnect the microphone connector
  • Pull out the microphone LED from it’s clip
  • Unroute the cables from their holders

Step 11

              Wifi Antennas               
  • Pull the wifi antennas through from the back of the laptop
  • Unroute the antenna cables from their guides

              Remove display assembly               
  • Remove 4x Phillips #1 M2.5x8mm screws from display hinges
  • Carefully lift display out making sure no cables are snagged

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
