Nothing happens when you flip the switch.
If the fan is not turning on, verify that your power cable is plugged in tightly. Also, verify that your source of electricity (the power outlet) is functional. Finally, check if the power cable shows any signs of damage (i.e. cuts in the rubber coating that expose the wire).
If the power cable shows signs of damage, then the power cable must be replaced.
Use the Comfort Zone CZ6C Power Cable Replacement guide for directions.
If the fan does not appear to turn on, there may be loose wiring. Loose wiring can result from the fan being dropped or mishandled, which in turn may damage the internal wire connections.
If either of the two exposed wires look like they have become loose or disconnected, then you will have to reconnect these wires.
If the fan turns on but you have trouble switching speeds, there may be a faulty switch. It is not uncommon for a component such as a switch to be faulty due to poor manufacturing. Components of a product can deteriorate after an extended period use, thus becoming faulty.
If there happens to be a faulty switch, then you will need to replace the switch. Refer to Comfort Zone CZ6C Switch Replacement guide.
Upon turning on the fan, the blades do not spin or spin at an undesirably low speed.
If the fan turns on and you have the ability to change its speed but is having trouble reaching its max speed, there may be a blockage in the fans track. If the fan blade is experiencing a blockage, then the best solution is to clean the collection of dirt, hair, etc. blocking the fan blade.
If the fan blades are not spinning or are spinning slowly and you are certain the blade is not blocked by any dirt, then you will need to replace the motor.
Refer to the Comfort Zone CZ6C Motor Replacement guide.
After using the fan for a while, the fan becomes unusually hot.
If the fan turns on and can change speed but can not reach its max speed there may be a blockage in the fans track. If the fan blade is experiencing a blockage, then the best solution is to clean the collection of dirt, hair, etc. blocking the fan blade.
If the fan is constantly overheating your motor may be faulty.
Refer to Comfort Zone CZ6C Motor Replacement guide.
Adjusting the fan speed switch does not change the fan’s speed.
Your fan does not clip onto your desired surface.
Over an extended period of use, hinges can become loose and will need to be tightened. You will use a Philips screw driver on the loose screw until it is tight.
If our clamp breaks or is having trouble staying on the surface you wish to attach it to, it may be faulty or broken. After extensive use, the fan’s clamp may break.
Use the Comfort Zone CZ6C Clamp Replacement guide to replace the clamp.
