- The battery is connected to the back side by a strong adhesive.
- The battery may bend during this process.
- Be careful not to damage the wires or the black tab attached to the battery.
- Be careful not to allow the battery to bend any more than necessary. Battery acid leakage is possible.
- Pry the battery off the back side with a plastic opening tool.

- Pull the tape off the side with the wires and circuit piece.

- Have someone who is skilled in soldering to perform this step.
- Be careful not to destroy the motherboard or other parts of device.
- Desolder the wires connecting the battery to the motherboard from the contact points on the motherboard.

A little then moderate skill is necessary if you are somewhat mechanically inclined shouldn’t be too problematic. But as far as this gentleman’s directions and steps perform the task with no problems and tablet works now. Thank you Kevin Finney and three others my four-year-old daughter Hazel is happy again thanks to you.

I think these are great instructions for fixing this issue!
If you’d be interested in going a step further…I’ve been trying to find out how to safely remove the charge port! I know how to solder the replacement onto the board but I can’t confirm the best way to detach the old port!?
My god daughter would appreciate another video! :)
