  • Make sure the engine is off and cool to the touch before you proceed.

  • Place wheel chocks against the roller and rear wheel to prevent the machine from moving.

  • Flip the gas shutoff switch next to the motor to the left into the off position.

  • Grab the plastic housing at the end of the spark plug wire.
  • Pull firmly to disconnect the wire from the spark plug.

              Remove the eccentric arms
  • Use a 3/4 inch socket to remove the two bolts on the eccentric arm.
  • You may need to use a 3/4 inch wrench in combination with the socket wrench to hold the nuts in place.
  • During reassembly, apply threadlocker to the bolt securing the eccentric arm to the blade arm.

  • Remove the plastic washer from between the eccentric arm and the blade arm.

  • Lift the eccentric arm away from the blade arm.

  • Remove the steel washer from the eccentric shaft.

  • Remove the plastic washer from the eccentric shaft.

Step 10

  • Remove the eccentric arm and plastic washer from the eccentric shaft.
  • Repeat steps 5–10 for the other eccentric arm.
  • During reassembly, use a grease gun to add grease to the bearings through the two Zerk fittings on each eccentric arm.

Repeat steps 5–10 for the other eccentric arm.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
