- Place wheel chocks against the roller and rear wheel to prevent the machine from moving.

- Flip the gas shutoff switch next to the motor to the left into the off position.

- Grab the plastic housing at the end of the spark plug wire.
- Pull firmly to disconnect the wire from the spark plug.

Remove the eccentric arms
- Use a 3/4 inch socket to remove the two bolts on the eccentric arm.
- You may need to use a 3/4 inch wrench in combination with the socket wrench to hold the nuts in place.
- During reassembly, apply threadlocker to the bolt securing the eccentric arm to the blade arm.

- Remove the plastic washer from between the eccentric arm and the blade arm.

- Remove the steel washer from the eccentric shaft.

- Remove the plastic washer from the eccentric shaft.

- Remove the eccentric arm and plastic washer from the eccentric shaft.
- Repeat steps 5–10 for the other eccentric arm.
- During reassembly, use a grease gun to add grease to the bearings through the two Zerk fittings on each eccentric arm.
