What you need

Step 1

              Remove front and back screws               
  • Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver remove the front and back 5.0 mm screws as shown in the picture.
  • There are four screws in the back and two screws in the front.

Step 2

              Remove side-Back cover               
  • Gently remove the side cover from the phone by lifting up on the corners as shown in the picture.
  • Press down on the screen to help remove the plastic side cover from the phone.
  • Make sure to push gently because the frame is fragile.

Step 3

              Remove Side-Front cover               
  • Pull the side front cover off the face of the phone.

Step 4

  • Remove the eight 2.5mm Phillips #00 screws in the holes of the casing.

Step 5

  • Gently pull off the motherboard cover.

Step 6

  • Using the Phillips #00, remove all 2.5 mm screws attached to the motherboard.
  • Do not touch the integrated circuits in the motherboard.

              Motherboard               
  • Gently remove the motherboard with the spudger.

Step 8

              Removing external volume pads               
  • Following step 4 in the prerequisite guide, remove the volume pads located on the side of the phone with a gentle pull.

Step 9

              Removing internal volume buttons               
  • Following step 6, remove the adapter connecting the volume buttons to the motherboard.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
