No matter what you do the camera won’t take any pictures and the screen stays blank.
Make sure that the camera is not set to off mode. Select the desired photo-taking mode by using the mode selection dial to solve this problem. If this doesn’t work then see below.
The batteries in the camera might need to be changed. The battery compartment is on the bottom right side of the camera. The camera takes 3 volt lithium batteries.
The LCD screen is on, but pressing the shutter button doesn’t do anything.
The camera can’t take pictures if the film isn’t in place properly. To see if this is the problem, check the frame counter on the LCD display. If the counter shows a blinking ‘0’, then this is the problem. To fix it, simply remove the film and put it back in correctly. The film is located in a compartment in the back of the camera.
The camera won’t be able to take any pictures if the film is full. To see if this is the problem, check the frame counter on the LCD display. If the counter shows a non-blinking ‘0’ and there is a spool icon directly to the left of the frame counter, then this is the problem. To fix the problem, simply replace the film, which is located in a compartment in the back of the camera.
Pressing the shutter button takes a picture, but the flash doesn’t activate.
If the flash is set to either of the two OFF modes, it will not activate. To fix this, change the flash mode to AUTO or ON.
When the flash mode is set to AUTO, the camera decides whether or not to activate the flash based on how dark it is. If you want to force the camera to use the flash, change the flash mode to ON.
The flash went off, but pictures taken at night still don’t look the way they should.
To take clear pictures at night, select the night mode from the mode selection dial.
